July Science Pub, and SciencePub.US launches!

Hey Science Fans,

Exciting days ahead!

First up we have our July Madison Science Pub with Dr. Patricia McConnell this Sunday, July 31, 2PM at Brocach Irish Pub in downtown Madison. Dr. McConnell will speak about the biology behind emotion in you and other animals, and why it’s reasonable to believe that all mammals share the emotions of love, fear, sadness, happiness and anger. Come on out and join this fascinating discussion.

On August 14 we'll have our first La Crosse Science Pub, with Dr. Thomas Greiner discussing human evolution. La Crosse Science Pub is a brand new event that will continue each month just as our Madison Science Pub does here. It will be held at Schmidty's Restaurant, 3119 State Road in La Crosse.

Please pass this announcement on to your friends and family in La Crosse and help us build Science Pub there.

Visit our new web site, sciencepub.us, the parent site for all future Science Pub events, as we expand to other cities. This site will serve as a hosting platform for new Science Pubs for any groups across the country that want to use it to publicize their events. If you know people elsewhere who may be interested in forming Science Pubs pass this message on and ask them to get in touch. We'll be announcing sciencepub.us on multiple web sites soon.

We'll also help publicize existing Science Pubs or Science Cafe events by providing postings on the upcoming events pages.
